Galata Port, Istanbul

Galataport Istanbul will play a crucial role in bringing the city to the level it deserves in terms of cruise tourism and opening up this unique coastline to the public. The port is expected to host 25 million visitors annually, including approximately 7 million tourists and 1.5 million cruise passengers. It will have the capacity to accommodate 3 cruise ships at the same time and will have a passenger capacity of around 15,000. This massive project will not only enhance Istanbul’s tourism potential but also strengthen the city's global importance. As Mert Döküm, we are proud to be a part of the Galataport Istanbul project.

Within the project, Mert Döküm has provided eco-friendly and durable infrastructure solutions by using polymer concrete stormwater channels and polymer channels to ensure efficient water drainage. Additionally, polymer concrete drainage channels and polymer concrete box channels have been chosen to facilitate the rapid flow of water. To meet both the aesthetic and functional requirements of the area, decorative solutions such as stainless steel grating, stainless metal grating, and stainless grid grating have been used. Metal stormwater grates and steel stormwater grates offer long-lasting and secure infrastructure, contributing to the modern and sustainable infrastructure of Galataport Istanbul.
